Solidigm, a pioneer in enterprise data storage, on June 4, 2026, marked the three-year anniversary of its Jalisco design center with a team member celebration and meetings with Jalisco Government Officials and technology industry leaders.

Solidigm has invested more than USD $25 million in the research and development (R&D) facility that serves as one of the company’s top three largest R&D hubs with key engineering talent focused on product validation for Solidigm’s industry-leading AI data center solid-state drives.

Solidigm’s celebration before a majority of more than 150 of the site’s team members featured Co-CEO Xin Guo and site leader Arturo Garcia, among others. The Solidigm leadership team also met during the day with the Jalisco Governor and CANIETI (National Chamber of Electronics, Communication and Information Technology Industry).

“AI is fueling exponential data growth everywhere — elevating the importance of storage choices in data centers worldwide,” said Guo. “Guadalajara is a strategic growth site for Solidigm, and we appreciate the government of Jalisco’s support as we work to be the top enterprise SSD provider in this ever-expanding AI era.”

Solidigm Mexico as a Strategic Growth Site

Since its opening in 2023, Solidigm’s Design Center in Jalisco has continued expanding its role in global engineering programs and product development and validation. This expansion includes the recent opening of the new Failure Analysis Lab, with an investment of more than USD $1 million.

“This investment expands our site’s local technical capabilities and strengthens our ability to support key customers,” said Garcia, Solidigm Mexico General Manager. “This progress reflects Solidigm’s confidence in the talent, infrastructure, and business environment that Jalisco offers.”

Solidigm leaders also discussed with Jalisco officials the commitment to collaborate on the development of regional technology talent, which is a challenge globally for the semiconductor industry as the demand for specialized engineering talent continues to grow.

This is an area where collaboration with government, industry and academia makes a significant impact, and continued public policy support can help universities and technical institutions align educational programs with the needs of the semiconductor industry, Solidigm leaders explained.

“For Solidigm, developing talent in Jalisco is both a business priority and an opportunity to contribute to the long-term competitiveness of the region as a technology hub in Mexico,” said Garcia, Solidigm Validation Quality and Reliability leader.
