In the development of complex storage solutions, the System Integration Lead serves as a vital bridge between technical execution and strategic vision. Erin Murphy holds this responsibility at Solidigm, working closely with program managers to help ensure every product she works on meets high standards for quality and performance. Her role is central to coordinating and guiding teams toward strong technical outcomes in Data Center Engineering.

Erin focuses on the planning stages of next-generation products. This work requires balancing marketing and strategic priorities with technical and customer needs to deliver a competitive final product.

Previously in her career, she led taskforces for programs nearing production, coordinating subject matter experts to identify root causes and resolve customer issues.

Erin shares that her natural curiosity causes her to ask questions, which helps her develop a deep understanding of both customer needs and technical challenges.

Collaboration is a cornerstone of the work at Solidigm and Erin believes in creating space for every voice to be heard. She finds that some of the most valuable breakthroughs happen when a team is comfortable sitting in silence for a moment, giving more reserved colleagues time to share thoughtful ideas.

Her leadership approach reflects the belief that a strong leader does not need every answer, but should rather know how to bring the right people together to find one.

Erin is also a strong advocate for representation in the tech industry and the role it plays in helping others envision their own career paths.

Early in her career, she worked to overcome self-doubt and the pressure to prove her merit based solely on skills rather than perceptions.

She believes showing up authentically can help others find common ground and feel encouraged to pursue engineering roles.

On the value of mentorship, Erin shares that it is “invaluable to have someone to bounce questions off of and talk through pivotal career moments with.” She adds that she appreciates the Women in Solidigm Empowered Resource Group mentor match program and looks forward to mentoring others as her career progresses.

Outside of her technical role, Erin finds balance through a variety of creative and outdoor activities. She enjoys knitting, crocheting, pottery, and watercolors, along with staying active through volleyball and trail running. To reset after a demanding week, she often heads into nature for phone-free camping trips that allow her to disconnect and recharge.
